The City of Cincinnati and The Banks Public Partnership expressed a desire to devise a system to direct motorists to available parking when attending sporting events, concerts, and the many attractions downtown, at The Banks, riverfront parks and entertainment venues. TEC teamed with the Banks Public Partnership and the City of Cincinnati to design Variable Message signs that would be installed along the interstate and surface streets that could be controlled automatically by interfacing with the City / County parking facilities or by manual control if desired. These signs would be able to direct motorists to available parking facilities near attractions that they wish to attend.
