Online Registration is now open for the 2010 ITS Midwest Annual Meeting. The ITS Midwest Annual Meeting will be held on November 4-5, 2010 at Argonne National Laboratory in Argonne , IL.

The theme of this year’s meeting is “No Boundaries: ITS Difference Makers”. The focus of ITS is the use of technology and innovation to improve the efficiency and safety of the transportation network on regional, national and global scales. The essence of ITS achievement is realized by overcoming limitations of infrastructure, capital, and human resources. The program will highlight accomplishments and activities of our four states and the vision that will move us forward.

Argonne National Laboratory provides the perfect setting for this year’s meeting in capturing that vision. As one of the U.S. Department of Energy’s oldest and largest national laboratories for science and engineering research, Argonne’s mission is to apply a unique mix of world-class science, engineering and user facilities to deliver innovative research and technologies in the areas of Energy, Biological and Environmental Systems, and National Security. The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), in cooperation with Argonne, has established the TRACC a high-performance computing and engineering analysis research facility at the DuPage National Technology Park in West Chicago, Illinois.  There will be a special reception and tour on Thursday evening (November 4) at the TRACC (located in the terminal of the DuPage County Airport).

We look forward to a meeting program that provides technical sessions, vendor exhibits, tours, and the opportunity to network with colleagues and fellow professionals from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and elsewhere.
