Argonne National Laboratory, in Argonne, Illinois, provided an ideal setting for the four-state chapter’s 2010 Annual Meeting on November 4th and 5th. The meeting provided the ITS Midwest Membership with an opportunity to learn specifics for various ITS initiatives, such as Argonne’s key work from the Center for Transportation Research. See also Meeting Venue for more information.
The theme of this year’s meeting was “No Boundaries: ITS Difference Makers”. The focus of ITS is the use of technology and innovation to improve the efficiency and safety of the transportation network on regional, national and global scales. The essence of ITS achievement is realized by overcoming limitations of infrastructure, capital, and human resources. The program will highlight accomplishments and activities of our four states and the vision that will move us forward.
The meeting program provided technical sessions, vendor exhibits, tours, and the opportunity to network with colleagues and fellow professionals from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and elsewhere.
